Vintage knotted rya rug designed by Ulla Brandt in 1965. Handwoven in 1992 at Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB, Båstad, Sweden by Birgit Svensson. Marked AB MMF and UB (artist’s initials). 

The rug is recorded in the Märta Måås-Fjetterström archive under inventory number 5538 and comes with a certificate of authenticity. 

Tjärn was initially designed and woven in a 450 x 450 cm format for the editor-in-chief's office at Sydsvenska dagbladet in Malmö, Sweden. 

This rug is currently on display in our Stockholm showroom.

MATERIALS AND CARE
The rug is hand-knotted in wool on a linen warp. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and should not be washed too frequently, as this can strip the natural oils that protect the fibers.

To ensure even wear, rotate the rug periodically. Regular vacuuming is beneficial, but avoid vacuuming the braided edges and refrain from using a vacuum with rotating brushes.
