Vit blomma
Tapestry designed by Ann-Mari Forsberg in 1959. Handwoven wool and linen on linen warp by Lena Wickman Wickström at the studio in Båstad, Sweden and marked AMF (artist's initials). 44 x 43 cm, including frame.
The tapestry is framed in a solid oak frame with art glass and a backing of linen fabric woven locally in Båstad. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB and is currently on display at our Båstad studio and showroom.
Ann-Mari Forsberg came to the studio together with Marianne Richter in 1943. She has created several much-loved rug designs, but her main legacy are the spectacular and often monumental tapestries in bright colors. In 1959, she created the tapestry "Bikupan" (The Bee Hive). Details from this masterpiece are continuously woven and much-loved for their joie de vivre.
