Vintage knotted rya rug designed by Märta Måås-Fjetterström. Handwoven in 1932 at Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Båstad, Sweden by Berta Nylander. Marked MMF (artist’s initials). 

The rug comes with a certificate of authenticity. 

The present rug was commissioned by Ludvig Nobel for room 15 at Hotel Skånegården, as indicated by an original label on the back. 

MATERIALS AND CARE
The rug is hand-knotted in wool on a linen warp. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and should not be washed too frequently, as this can strip the natural oils that protect the fibers.

To ensure even wear, rotate the rug periodically. Regular vacuuming is beneficial, but avoid vacuuming the braided edges and refrain from using a vacuum with rotating brushes.
