Vintage handwoven tapestry designed by Barbro Nilsson in 1942. Handwoven by Gunni Mattsson at Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB, Båstad, Sweden. Marked AB MMF and BN (artist’s initials). 

Kärnfrukt was one of Barbro Nilsson's earliest tapestry designs at the studio. The shapes used in the design can be traced back to ancient Coptic textiles, and Barbro Nilsson would delevop these and use in many of her most iconic pieces. 

This tapestry is ready for immediate delivery. It has been inspected and comes with a certificate of authenticity from Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB.
