Snäckorna is one of Barbro Nilsson’s most iconic designs, created early in her long and successful tenure as Artistic Director of Märta Måås-Fjetterström. The design captures the many shades of blue in the ocean, scattered with shells to create a composition that is both dynamic and harmonious. A Snäckorna rug is part of the permanent collection at Sweden’s Nationalmuseum.

MATERIALS AND CARE
The rug is hand-woven in wool on a linen warp. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and should not be washed too frequently, as this can strip the natural oils that protect the fibers.

To ensure even wear, rotate and flip the rug periodically. Regular vacuuming is beneficial, but avoid vacuuming the braided edges and refrain from using a vacuum with rotating brushes.
