Artistic excellence
Märta Måås-Fjetterström
Märta Måås-Fjetterström founded the studio that bears her name
in 1919. Her sketches were – and still are – interpreted and crafted
into hand-woven masterpieces by the skilled artisan weavers.
Barbro Nilsson
Barbro Nilsson was the studio’s artistic director for nearly three decades. Starting in 1943, Nilsson was integral in managing Märta Måås’s legacy and developing the studio for a new era.
Marianne Richter
Marianne Richter was one of Barbro Nilsson’s former students chosen to help renew the studio in the early 1940’s. Bold, optimistic colors are a true Richter signature!
Ann-Mari Forsberg
Ann-Mari Forsberg came to the studio together with Marianne Richter in 1943. She has created several much-loved rug designs, but her main legacy are the spectacular and often monumental tapestries in bright colors.
Marco Zanini
Marco Zanini is a Milanese designer who merges Scandinavian sensibility and skillful Italian savoir-faire, informed by a broad interest in arts and design. Read Zanini's own words on work and life, as well as his first collection with Märta Måås-Fjetterström.
